Portrait Commissions
Suzanne Ouimet-Fernandez approaches portraiture as more than simply capturing a likeness. With a sensitive eye and a deep intuitive awareness of the human spirit, she seeks to reveal the personality and inner presence of the individual she is painting. While her work is not strictly photographic realism, her portraits reflect the character, warmth, and emotional essence of the subject in a way that resonates deeply with viewers.
Portraits may be created in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolor, or colored pencil. Depending on the project, sessions may take place in Suzanne’s studio or in the home of the individual or family commissioning the work. Several sittings are often part of the process, and reference photographs may be taken to assist in completing the portrait.
A commissioned portrait becomes far more than a painting—it is a treasured keepsake and a marker in time. Whether honoring a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or creating a meaningful gift, Suzanne’s portraits are created with care, sensitivity, and lasting beauty.
